This summer, our lab is pleased to welcome a talented group of new and returning students and team members. After contributing to the lab throughout the academic year, UC Berkeley URAP students Justin Kim and Brian Kunzang received Rose Hills Foundation scholarships to continue their research with us over the summer. Fellow UC Berkeley URAP students Carolyn Pyun, Akansha Jain, and Sarthak Agrawal are also continuing their work in the lab from the previous academic year.
Through the RISE Program, we are also welcoming Kora Otun, a premedical student from Texas, and Erin Halligan, BS, a medical student at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. In addition, Koharu Sakiyama, BA, joins the lab as a research associate after previously working with us as a UC Berkeley URAP student, while Sukhmanjit Brar, MBBS, returns to the lab as a postdoctoral scholar after completing his medical degree.
